This process will lead to the recovery and reuse of 50% to 90% of heat waste, with a payback period of less than 3 years, boosting productivity and energy flexibility. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>These innovations will be enabled by advanced manufacturing techniques and novel material alloys demonstrated across five sectors: Copper, Ceramics, Silicon, Plastics and Oil &amp; Gas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>StreamSTEP is the vision of 31 organisations across EU, Switzerland, Norway and UK, aspiring to trigger significant improvements of how heating energy is managed within industrial processes. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Background:  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>European process industries face significant challenges in a changing geopolitical landscape, under the threat of climate change and against fierce international competition.
